Are you an engineer looking for further develop your specialist knowledge in the field of airworthiness engineering and management?In this degree you will develop specialist knowledge in the design, manufacture, certification, operation and maintenance of aircraft including the design, manufacture, certification, operation and maintenance of aircraft, both civil and military.This degree provides you with specialised knowledge and expertise in the areas of initial and continuing airworthiness engineering and management.

Standard entry requirements

Australian AQF 8 Bachelor (Honours) degree or an Australian 4-year AQF 7 Bachelor degree (or international equivalent) in aerospace engineering, aeronautical engineering, aviation, aviation management with a GPA of at least 2.0 out of 4.0. Applicants who have a successfully completed a relevant degree (as above) with a GPA of at least 1.5 out of 4, will be considered if they have at least 3 years of relevant industry experience in airworthiness. OR Australian AQF 8 Bachelor (Honours) degree or an Australian 4-year AQF 7 Bachelor degree (or international equivalent) in mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, automotive engineering, electronics/electrical engineering, computer network engineering, electrical avionics with a GPA of at least 1.5 out of 4.0 and three (3) years of relevant industry experience in airworthiness. OR Successful completion of an Australian postgraduate qualification (or international equivalent) in aerospace engineering, aeronautical engineering, aviation, aviation management.OR Successful completion of an Australian postgraduate qualification (or international equivalent) in mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, automotive engineering, electronics/electrical engineering, computer network engineering, electrical avionics and three (3) years of relevant industry experience in airworthiness. OR Applicants without any relevant prior qualifications will be considered if they have at least ten (10) years of relevant industry experience in airworthiness.

Study pathways

Students may be eligible for exemptions on a case-by-case basis for previous study in a qualification at AQF level 8 or above, such as a graduate certificate, graduate diploma, or bachelor honours degree in aerospace, aeronautical or avionics engineering or other relevant engineering fields.
