RMIT Accommodation Education Scholarship

The RMIT Accommodation Education Scholarship assists students relocating to Melbourne from interstate or a Victorian regional area to find suitable, affordable accommodation.
Eligibility
Applicants must: be Australian or New Zealand citizens or Australian permanent residents; be enrolling in a government-supported diploma, bachelor, honours or postgraduate coursework program; have to move from interstate or regional/rural Victoria to study at an RMIT Melbourne campus; be studying full-time in a course of at least six months duration; not have previously completed a qualification at the same or higher level than the program they are commencing; be able to demonstrate financial and educational disadvantage; and not have previously been enrolled at RMIT.

Students commencing at the beginning of the year: VTAC applicants must apply via the VTAC scholarships portal by mid-October; non-VTAC applicants must apply by mid October direct to RMIT. Students commencing mid-year should apply direct to RMIT by early June, see the website for further information.

The scholarship provides accommodation assistance of up to $5,200 in the first year of study. Mid-year recipients receive $2,600 for their first semester of study only. |
