This qualification provides the skills for work in youth and family intervention, including practice specialisations in residential and out of home care, family support and early intervention. Workers operate under a broad supervision framework and within clearly defined organisational guidelines, service plans and position specifications.

Entry Requirements:

Satisfactory demonstration of reading, writing and numeracy skills by undertaking the Core Skills Profile for Adults (CSPA) and any one of Either any Certificate III or higher or SACE Stage 2 or equivalent Australian Year 12 certificate


10 core units plus 6 electives.

Core: Establish and monitor a case plan; Use targeted communication skills to build relationships; Confirm client developmental status; Identify and respond to children and young people at risk; Work collaboratively to maintain an environment safe for children and young people; plus more.
