SEDA Alumni, Account Coordinator, Collingwood Football Club

After graduating from the Collingwood Magpies Sport and Business Program in 2021, Lily gained employment at the Collingwood Football Club as an Account Coordinator in Commercial Partnerships. Lily’s experience in the program encouraged her to step outside her comfort zone and meet new people, including learning about different roles within the club. The hands-on learning within the program gave her the opportunity to enhance her communication, networking, and organisational skills. Lily’s time in the program has prepared her to enter the workforce and enjoy a dynamic role where every day is different.

Studying and learning alongside Melbourne Victory is a dream come true! The opportunities the Melbourne Victory Sport and Business program have given me include a variety of skills that will help me in life and my future career. Being a part of the Melbourne Victory events team on a day-to-day basis and participating in the helping of Match Day Operations is an experience like no other. The skills that I have gained from branching out into more than one industry have allowed me to grow dramatically as a person and have improved my confidence, communication skills, time-management skills and risk-taking skills. Having been given the opportunity to learn real-life and hands-on experiences with the SEDA teachers and Melbourne Victory partners in fields like marketing, memberships, sponsorships and more, is a big highlight that I thoroughly enjoy.
