This qualification is part of the Public Safety Training Package. It is designed for firefighters involved in urban firefighting and emergency rescue.

Structure:

12 units: 8 core; 4 elective

Subjects you can Study:

Core: Suppress urban fire; Employ personal protection at a hazardous materials incident; Operate pumps; Render hazardous materials incidents safe; Maintain safety at an incident site; Drive vehicles under operational conditions; Apply first aid; Apply advanced resuscitation techniques. Electives: Foster a positive organisational image in the community; Plan and conduct a public awareness program; Undertake community safety activities; Suppress wildfire; plus more.
