Certificate IV in Forest Operations

South Regional TAFE

This qualification is part of the Forest and Wood Products Training Package. It is designed for job roles in the forest operations sector of the forest and forest products industry. It has eight employment pathways for typical forest operations environments. These are: Arboriculture supervisor; Farm forestry supervisor; Forestry supervisor; Forestry operations supervisor; Harvesting supervisor; Harvesting team leader; Propagation and stand health supervisor; Tree farm supervisor.

Entry Requirements:

No minimum education. Prerequisite units may apply to some electives.


14 units: 5 core; 9 elective

Subjects you can Study:

Core: Develop teams and individuals; Evaluate fire potential and prevention; Monitor safety, health and environment policies and procedures; Monitor and review forestry operations; Monitor quality and product care procedures. Plus electives.
