This qualification is part of the Retail Services Training Package. It reflects the role of individuals who have the primary responsibility of engaging the customer, maintaining daily store operations and delivering on organisational expectations in a diverse range of retail settings including specialty retailers, supermarkets, department stores and quick service restaurants.

13 units: 8 core; 5 elective

Core: Engage the customer; Assist with customer difficulties; Build customer relationships and loyalty; Work effectively in a team; Work effectively in a service environment; Identify and respond to security risks; Sell to the retail customer; Contribute to workplace health and safety. Elective: Work with diverse people; Handle food safely in a retail environment; Receive and handle retail stock; plus more.

Study Pathways:

The Certificate III in Retail articulates into the Certificate IV in Retail Management.
