The Advanced Diploma of Screen and Media - Animation provides students with an inspired approach to the creation of animation content for screen, media and design industries, placing emphasis on conceptual and technical aspects of the production process for animation. Major study areas focus on pre-visualisation, script writing, storyboarding, production pipeline for animation, including 2D and 3D animation, 3D modeling and character design, motion graphics, video and sound design, post-production and visual effects. Students at this level will be able to creatively develop projects and work both independently and collaboratively with others, focus on a chosen area of interest and manage projects from conception to completion. The course is committed to providing students with immersive real-world industry experiences and work ready focused learning. Dependent on COVID-19 impacts, the course provides students industry collaboration opportunities with hands-on training using the latest screen technologies and best practice approach to a broad range of creative media production industry operations.

Standard entry requirements
- Successful completion of relevant diploma level qualification. Applicants with 18 months full-time relevant industry experience can provide a CV and submit a portfolio of work demonstrating evidence of the following skills/knowledge: preproduction for screen and media, including storyboarding, concept development and script writing

- 2D and 3D animation software
- Sound production and sound recording
- Video recording and editing.
