Associate Degree of Applied Technologies

The Associate Degree in Applied Technologies is an engineering and digital technologies course developed in collaboration with industry. Emphasising innovation, critical thinking, and problem-solving, the program prepares students to thrive in diverse and competitive environments. Graduates will be equipped with the practical skills and in-depth knowledge to become technical experts in sectors such as manufacturing, IT or engineering, or may choose to pathway to further study in higher education.

Structure

The Associate Degree in Applied Technologies consists 16 units of study (200 credit points). Units normally carry 12.5 credit points. A standard annual full-time load comprises 100 credit points and a part-time load comprises 50 credit points.

Entry requirements

  • One of: Successful completion of the Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) or its equivalent , such as an interstate or international Year 12 qualification
  • Completion or partial completion of an approved tertiary qualification or International Equivalent (including Certificates, Diplomas, Advanced Diplomas, Associate Degrees and/or higher qualification).

Study Pathways

Pathways allow students to progress from one qualification to another where the first course is recognised as an entry requirement and/or provides advanced standing to the second. Credit is granted in recognition of previous study and/or experience and allows students to gain advanced standing towards their course. Applicants are assessed on a case-by-case basis. Honours year available.
