The Diploma of Applied Technologies trains students to become technical experts within the engineering and technology industries. The Cloud Technologies specialisation will equip you with the knowledge and skills to build and design cloud-based infrastructure and services. You'll learn how to develop programs, interact with cloud databases, and solve real-world business problems with cutting-edge technology.The Diploma of Applied Technologies (cloud technologies) is aimed at everyone but also includes the Women in STEM DESE funded internships. The Civil Infrastructure specialisation is designed for Victorian Civil Infrastructure organisations who are participating in the Victorian Big Build Initiative where students will work on a major project aligned to their business. Students will be technical experts within the engineering and technology industries and demonstrate within a broad range of engineering or digital technology contexts.

Structure

To qualify for the award of the Diploma of Applied Technologies students must successfully complete 100 credit points comprising of two core units and 1 offered specialisation.

Standard entry requirements

One of: Successful completion of the Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) or its equivalent, such as an interstate or international Year 12 qualification.Completion or partial completion of an approved tertiary qualification (including Certificates IV (completed), Diplomas, Advanced Diplomas, Associate Degrees and Degrees)

Study pathways

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) allows students to gain credit (advanced standing) towards their course in recognition of skills and knowledge gained through work experience, life experience and/or formal training. Applicants are assessed on a case-by-case basis.
