The Master of Digital Business Management (Advanced) invites students to gain advanced knowledge, and conduct research, in both information technology and digital business. You'll study the methodology and theory behind contemporary information systems so that you can better approach IT services and initiatives in your career. Students will graduate with specialist knowledge in the digital business field - holding advanced skills in technology, management and research.

Standard entry requirements

  • Standard entry: successful completion of an undergraduate degree equivalent to an Australian Bachelor degree as well as a minimum of three years of relevant work experience
  • Or students who have completed the Graduate Certificate of Digital Business Management or the Graduate Diploma of Digital Business Management
  • Or for international applicants, successful completion of the Masters Qualifying Program. Special entry: a special entry provision is available for applicants without an appropriate qualification but who have significant relevant work experience (usually at least five years) and evidence of academic capability (e.g. successful completion of a Certificate or Diploma course at a TAFE with high grades or attaining a GMAT of 550 or higher). Such applicants may be eligible for admission to the Graduate Certificate of Digital Business Management. English language requirements - satisfactory completion of one of the following: Swinburne's English for Academic Purposes (EAP 5 Advanced level) with overall 70%, all skills 65%
  • Minimum IELTS overall band of 6.5 (Academic Module) with no individual band below 6.0
  • TOEFL iBT (internet-based) minimum score of 79 with a reading band no less than 18 and writing band no less than 20
  • Pearson (PTE) minimum score of 58 (no communicative skills less than 50)
  • Any other equivalent assessment of English language proficiency. Note: A prerequisite for many courses, the Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE Academic) can now be done on campus in Hawthorn.
