The Master of Digital Business Management (Professional) invites students to learn the strategy behind digital innovation, and put this theory into practice in real-life organisations. You'll be invited to plan digital initiatives for organisations, work with business intelligence units, and apply IT innovations in real-world cases and projects. Students undertaking this course will take part in the Career Success Program, including hands-on workshops, networking opportunities, and industry-led projects.

Standard entry requirements

  • Standard entry: successful completion of an undergraduate degree equivalent to an Australian Bachelor degree as well as a minimum of three years of relevant work experience
  • Or students who have completed the Graduate Certificate of Digital Business Management or the Graduate Diploma of Digital Business Management (or equivalent)
  • Or for international applicants, successful completion of the Masters Qualifying Program. Special entry: a special entry provision is available for applicants without an appropriate qualification but who have significant relevant work experience (usually at least five years) and evidence of academic capability (e.g. successful completion of a Certificate or Diploma course at a TAFE with high grades or attaining a GMAT of 550 or higher). Such applicants may be eligible for admission to the Graduate Certificate of Digital Business Management. English language requirements - satisfactory completion of one of the following: Swinburne's English for Academic Purposes (EAP 5 Advanced level) with overall 70%, all skills 65%
  • Minimum IELTS overall band of 6.5 (Academic Module) with no individual band below 6.0
  • TOEFL iBT (internet-based) minimum score of 79 with a reading band no less than 18 and writing band no less than 20
  • Pearson (PTE) minimum score of 58 (no communicative skills less than 50)
  • Any other equivalent assessment of English language proficiency. Note: A prerequisite for many courses, the Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE Academic) can now be done on campus in Hawthorn.
