Bachelor of Accounting and Information Systems - Industry Scholarship Program
Swinburne University of Technology
Swinburne's newly developed Bachelor of Accounting and Information Systems (BAIS) degree will train highly capable, job-ready graduates to meet industry requirements as accounting and information systems specialists; particularly in future management and leadership roles. Students spend 40 weeks gaining direct experience through 2 placements with Swinburne's industry partners. They also receive a tax-free scholarship totalling approximately $40,000, to be paid in fortnightly instalments over the three-year course. Students learn to use accounting systems to record and analyse business activities, employ financial statements to guide investment decisions and use information from cost accounting systems to make decisions, develop operating strategies and evaluate business performance. The information systems major addresses how people, information, computers, networks and processes come together to create cohesive business solutions. Students will have the opportunity to apply their learning to a professionally focused, multidisciplinary project during their final year of study.
