Certificate IV in Electrotechnology - Systems Electrician

This qualification is part of the Electrotechnology Training Package. It covers the skills required to select, install, commission, fault find and maintain electrical systems and equipment with options, typically in explosion protection; electrical machines; electrical inspection; safety auditing; contracting; lifts; energy supply/distribution.

Entry Requirements:

No minimum education; students should be in relevant employment or have access to appropriate simulated workplace environment

Subjects you can Study:

Core: Implement and monitor OHS policies and procedures; Compile and produce an electrotechnology report; Participate in development and follow a personal competency development plan; Verify compliance and functionality of general electrical installations. Stream core: Maintain documentation; Source and purchase material/parts for installation or service jobs; Provide quotations for installation or service jobs; Deliver a service to customers; Use basic computer applications relevant to a workplace; Comply with scheduled and preventative maintenance program processes; Provide basic instruction in the use of electrotechnology apparatus; Implement & monitor, policies & procedures for environmentally sustainable electrotech work practice. Plus electives.
