Develop the skills required to protect Information Technology (IT) infrastructure from external threats and manage networks. When students complete this qualification, they will have advanced skills in areas such networking, network administration, risk management, virtualisation, security fundamentals, firewalls and network infrastructure.

Structure:

5 core units plus 7 electives.

Subjects you can Study:

Core: Implement secure encryption technologies; Design and implement a security perimeter for ICT networks; Design and implement a security system; Plan, configure and test advanced server-based security; Integrate sustainability in ICT planning and design projects. Electives: Determine strategy for the implementation of biometric technology; Lead the evaluation and implementation of current industry-specific technologies; Plan, configure and test advanced internetwork routing solutions; Configure network devices for a secure network infrastructure; Assess biometric system; plus more.

Students wishing to access WorkReady funding or VET Student Loans will be required to demonstrate satisfactory reading, writing and numeracy skills as part of course counselling before enrolling.
