TAFE NSW

This course is for Aboriginal people (or non-Aboriginal people, subject to local Aboriginal community approval) who have very limited skills in Aboriginal language/s and who are seeking to increase their language proficiency.

Entry Requirements:

Entry is open to peoples are of Aboriginal descent, identify as Aboriginal descent. Entry for non-Aboriginal people is subject to local Aboriginal community approval.

Subjects you can Study:

Core: Produce and participate in basic spoken Aboriginal Language/s texts; Listen and respond to basic spoken Aboriginal Language/s; Apply local Aboriginal Cultural Knowledge through the use and demonstration of Aboriginal Language/s. Electives: Develop literacy using technology; Develop understanding of own Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander identity; Participate in small informal group discussions; Participate in the learning environment; Identify current issues in Australia; plus more.
