TAFE NSW

This qualification is part of the Tourism, Travel and Hospitality Training Package. It reflects the role of individuals who use a range of well-developed operational skills and knowledge of industry operations to complete work activities. Using discretion and judgement, they work with some independence and under limited supervision using plans, policies and procedures to guide work activities. It provides a pathway to work in holiday parks and resorts as a specialist in front office, housekeeping or in grounds maintenance, or as a multi-skilled worker across different operational areas.

Core: Source and use information on the holiday park and resort industry; Provide service to customers; Identify hazards, assess and control safety risks; Show social and cultural sensitivity; Participate in safe work practices; plus more. Electives: Provide housekeeping services to guests; Use social media in a business; Provide visitor information; Provide table service of food and beverage; Process financial transactions; Provide event staging support; Coach others in job skills; Purchase goods; Fill LPG gas cylinders; plus more.
