TAFE NSW

This qualification is part of the Transport and Logistics Training Package. It is for people who want to further develop their skills in operations, usually within a range of broader related activities involving known routines, methods and procedures, where some discretion and judgement is required in the selection of equipment, services or contingency measures and within known time constraints. Students will learn how to coordinate goods for distribution to customers and how to use inventory systems to conduct stock counts and apply product knowledge to organise receipts and dispatches.

Entry Requirements:

No minimum education; basic communication skills required. Entrance requirements may vary between providers.

Structure:

18 units: 2 core; 16 elective

Subjects you can Study:

Core: Follow OHS procedures; Complete workplace orientation/induction procedures. Electives: Process receipt and delivery of containers and cargo; Complete receival/despatch documentation; Test equipment and isolate faults; Conduct specialised forklift operations; Rig load; Shift loads using gantry equipment; Prepare workplace documents; Lead a work team or group; Deliver and monitor a service to customers; Apply quality systems; plus more.
