Certificate IV in Accounting


This qualification is part of the Financial Services Training Package. It reflects accounting job roles in financial services and other industries requiring accounting support functions. Individuals in these roles apply theoretical and specialist knowledge and skills to work autonomously and exercise judgement in completing routine and non-routine activities.

Entry Requirements:

Certificate III in Accounts Administration; or relevant skills and knowledge


13 units: 10 core; 3 elective.

Subjects you can Study:

Core: Prepare financial reports; Design and produce business documents; Process financial transactions and extract interim reports; Administer subsidiary accounts and ledgers; Prepare operational budgets; Prepare financial statements for non-reporting entities; Set up and operate a computerised accounting system; Carry out business activity and instalment activity statement tasks; Establish and maintain a payroll system; Apply principles of professional practice to work in the financial services industry. Elective: Contribute to health and safety of self and others; Write simple documents; Perform financial calculations; plus more.
