Certificate IV in Agriculture


This qualification is part of the Agriculture, Horticulture and Conservation and Land Management Training Package. It allows individuals to develop post-trade skills and knowledge to become specialists within the agriculture industry. It is designed to meet the needs of supervisors or team leaders in the agriculture industry.

Elective: Manage pastures for livestock production; Supervise agricultural crop establishment; Maintain grain quality in storage; Save, prepare and store agricultural seed; Manage milking shed routines; Plan to exhibit livestock; Develop livestock feeding plans; Implement and monitor animal welfare programs; Oversee animal marking operations; Arrange livestock purchases; Implement a feeding strategy for pig production; Cost a project; Monitor and manage small business operations; Plan and implement a chemical use program; Handle, store and grade deer velvet; Handle and care for stallions; Supervise on-site irrigation installation and construction work; Conduct major repair and overhaul of machinery and equipment; Develop a soil use map for a property; Arrange employment for shearing operations; plus more.
