The Bachelor of Information Technology (Network Security) is a professional degree that will prepare students for employment in the IT industry, specialising in Network Security. They will develop a comprehensive understanding of critical network security issues and their importance in the business, industrial and social environments of intranet, extranet and internet connectivity. Security compliance is emphasised throughout the course, and students will learn to carry out network security activities in accordance with local and international industry standards.

Credit transfer is offered for identified units from the Diploma of Information Technology (Networking) or the Advanced Diploma of Network Security.

Applicants who meet the entry requirements but do not have the recommended level of assumed knowledge in mathematics can still apply to do the course, and if successful will be advised to undertake a mathematics bridging program or preparatory course.
