This qualification reflects the role of barbers who use a range of well-developed sales, consultation and technical skills and knowledge to provide a broad range of barbering services to clients. They use discretion and judgement to provide client services and take responsibility for the outcomes of their own work.This qualification provides a pathway to work as a barber in any industry environment, usually a barber shop or salon.No occupational licensing, certification or specific legislative requirements apply to this qualification at the time of publication.

You must comply with Work Health & Safety requirements for classes, including wearing closed in protective footwear and clothing that is clean and professional for the industry.

**ADDITIONAL RESOURCES**You will need to purchase specialist equipment in order to develop your skills outside of scheduled class times prior to starting class. The cost for specialist equipment for this course is approx. $550 which you will retain on completion of your training. **ADDITIONAL RESOURCES** Students have a Certificate 3 Barbering vocational cost of $550.00, this goes towards the cost of MANEQUIN Heads, NAPE/ or STRIP and uniform. Students are to supply their own equipment, full list supplied at enrolment interview.

This kit includes: 3 x mannequins, 1 x nape base or rec base- Students can purchase a Uniform from the TAFE Barbering Section for $50.00 Students are to supply their own cutting equipment/kit. Students must ensure they wear appropriate covered footwear that meets industry standards. It is strongly recommended students bring their own laptop, iPad or other mobile device to access their course content on the Internet.
