This qualification is part of the Transmission, Distribution and Rail Sector Training Package. Students will acquire the skills and knowledge needed for a career in the Electricity Supply Industry. The scope of this qualification covers: Distribution overhead powerline industry such as installation, maintenance and inspection poles, structures and associated hardware used on poles and structures. The work also encompasses the installation and maintenance of electrical equipment, conductors and cables used in the powerline industry. The use of support plant and equipment to undertake these tasks and environmental concerns also play a part in this job function.
