This qualification reflects the role of individuals who have professional level specialised, technical and theoretical skills to plan, carry out and evaluate photo imaging services.Practice at this level is underpinned by application of design theory and the ability to critically analyse and synthesise information from a range of sources. Standard entry requirements

To enter this qualification, individuals must have the conceptual, technical and organisational skills to use of a range of professional digital and/or film cameras and accessories to produce a folio of photo imaging work that demonstrates the ability to respond effectively to different photo imaging challenges and requirements. Skills and knowledge may have been acquired through experience, or through formal study.

**ADDITIONAL RESOURCES**You will need to provide for yourself the following resources which you will keep when you complete your study:- Students are encouraged to have their own inexpensive DSLR camera and access to a computer or laptop that is capable of running Adobe Photoshop CC.- Student should purchase their own external hardrive drive 3 TB Some printing is included but students may need to purchase specialist media.

**ADDITIONAL RESOURCES**You will need to provide for yourself the following resources which you will keep when you complete your study:- Digital SLR Camera (could be purchaed after course commencement): $400 to $1000- Tripod (optional) - $300- Software - $400

**ADDITIONAL RESOURCES**Students will be required to bring an external hard drive or USB in order to save their work, and an A3 visual diary. There are a number of digital SLR cameras that may be used during class time, but students are encouraged to bring their own digital SLR camera if they can.

Campuses: Ultimo College, Main Campus.

**ADDITIONAL RESOURCES**You will need to provide for yourself the following resources which you will keep when you complete your study:- Students, once enrolled, will receive access to the Adobe Creative Cloud Photography Package and Microsoft Office 365 for the duration of their course.- Students should also purchase an external portable hard drive. Additional resources recommended for the course will be discussed during Information Sessions, Orientation or on request by contacting the teaching section.

Campuses: Wollongong West Campus.

**ADDITIONAL RESOURCES**Student are encouraged to bring their own DSLR camera and accessories to the course to aid in familiarisation. A standard allocation of consumables will be provided incluiding film, paper and equipment needed for the darkroom. Students wishing to use more than the standard allocation will need to purchase these separately. Field visits to galleries, exhibition and shooting locations are critical to the application of real world skills.Further costs in addition to your student fees may be applicable for this qualification. These costs are to provide you with additional resources and/or Incidentals to support your learning: Excursion/Field Trip to galleries and exhibitions $100
