In this course, you will learn the foundations of ceramic studio art practice in a supportive and professional environment. Explore basic wheelforming, design, mouldmaking and handforming skills. In developing ideas for project work, you will refine technical and conceptual skills through a process of experimentation and practice. Teachers will demonstrate a wide range of specific techniques and skills so that you can unlock your creativity with clay. This course can be extended into a full year program as a series of four payment terms to give a full range of basic ceramics skills. On completion of the full year, students may be eligible to articulate into the Diploma of Ceramics.
