This certificate may develop skills and knowledge in WHS procedures; environmental work practice; planting, recognising plants; maintaining irrigation systems; pruning; treating weeds, pests and diseases, basic soil properties; renovating grassed areas; tending nursery plants; laying paving; machinery and equipment operation and machinery maintenance.

5 core units plus 10 electives.

Core: Participate in work health and safety processes; Recognise plants; Treat weeds; Treat plant pests, diseases and disorders; Assist with soil or growing media sampling and testing. Electives: Apply a range of treatments to trees; Perform pruning operations; Operate and maintain chainsaws; Assist with landscape construction work; Operate tractors; plus more.
