TAFE SA

This qualification provides students with the skills they need to gain employment in the management or specialist IT fields. Learn about the administration and installation of network switches and routers, security issues, hardware and software faults, database enabling, operating systems, configurations, network systems, networking monitoring and e-business. Included in this qualification are units covering CISCO Networking Academy - CISCO Systems accredited training. Students will have an opportunity within this program to complete Microsoft and CISCO certification.

Subjects you can Study:

Core: Contribute to copyright, ethics and privacy in an ICT environment; Match IT needs with the strategic direction of the enterprise; Install and manage complex ICT networks; Implement server virtualisation for a sustainable ICT system; Produce an ICT network architecture design. Electives: Develop workplace policy and procedures for sustainability; Gather data to identify business requirements; Implement secure encryption technologies; Install, operate and troubleshoot medium enterprise routers; Develop, implement and evaluate system and application security; Manage system security; plus more.

Students wishing to access WorkReady funding or VET Student Loans will be required to demonstrate satisfactory reading, writing and numeracy skills as part of course counselling before enrolling.
