This course will provide you with the skills and knowledge you need for employment as a Mine/Engineering Surveyor, Survey Assistant or Surveying Technician. You will learn how to operate sophisticated surveying equipment and software to conduct more complex engineering surveys, including road design; and set out surveys and more complex surveying tasks. Graduates of this course are eligible for Associate Membership of the Surveying and Spatial Sciences Institute (Engineering and Mining Commission). It is an industry requirement that students undertaking the Certificate IV in Surveying (CPP40216) must successfully complete all units in the Certificate IV before progressing to the Diploma of Surveying (CPP50116).
