This qualification is part of the Resources and Infrastructure Industry Training Package. It reflects the roles of individuals who perform mainly routine tasks and procedures, using limited practical skills and fundamental operational knowledge, and taking some responsibility for the quality of the work outcomes.

9 units: 3 core; 6 electives

Electives: Carry out measurements and calculations; Conduct fire team operations; Cut, weld and bend materials; Handle resources and infrastructure materials and safely dispose of nontoxic materials; Work safely at heights; Read and interpret plans and specifications; Maintain and monitor site quality standards; Respond to site based spills; plus more.
