This qualification is part of the Tourism, Travel and Hospitality Training Package. It reflects the role of individuals who use a broad range of specialist guiding skills combined with a substantial depth of subject matter knowledge. They operate independently or with limited guidance from others and use discretion to solve non-routine problems.

Entry Requirements:

Relevant units from the Certificate III in Guiding; or relevant vocational experience

Structure:

9 units: 3 core; 6 elective

Core: Coordinate and operate tours; Manage conflict; Enhance the customer service experience. Elective streams: Communication and teamwork; Environmental sustainability; First aid; Food and beverage; Guiding; Human resource management; LOTE; Marketing and public relations; Planning and product development; Tour operations; Tourism sales and operations; Working in industry.
