Diploma of Events (12)


This qualification is part of the Tourism, Travel and Hospitality Training Package. It reflects the role of individuals who use sound knowledge of event management processes and a broad range of skills to coordinate event operations. They operate independently and make operational event management decisions.

Entry Requirements:

No minimum education. Certificate III in a relevant area of study or relevant employment experience is strongly recommended.


20 units: 9 core; 11 elective

Core: Enhance the customer service experience; Access information on event industry operations; Manage event staging components; Manage finances within a budget; Lead and manage people; Monitor work operations; Establish and conduct business relationships; Manage projects; Identify hazards, assess and control safety risks. Electives: Manage meetings; Analyse and present research information; Write complex documents; plus more.

Study Pathways:

Advanced Diploma of Events; or advanced diploma or degree programs in business management, creative industries, events, hospitality, sport, tourism or travel
