The Diploma of Theology is a one year full-time (or equivalent part-time) course. It provides a basic qualification in Theology for those with no previous background in Theological studies, as well as being designed for those who wish to update their Theological knowledge, for those preparing for or involved in pastoral ministry, or for those who wish to pursue such studies for reasons of personal and spiritual growth.
The Diploma of Theology course requires the completion of four (4) 100 level and four (4) 200 level theology units chosen from the list of unit offerings published by the School of Philosophy and Theology.
Standard entry requirements
- Year 12 or equivalent
- Admissions interview
- Mature age applicants should achieve completion of a pre-university course at an approved college/TAFE, or a satisfactory result in the Special Tertiary Admissions Test (STAT)
Applicants may consider a Notre Dame Australia enabling program as an entry pathway. The Diploma of Theology can be used to articulate into the Bachelor of Theology degree.
