By completing this Combined Bachelor's and Master's course you will graduate with both a Bachelor of Molecular Sciences and a Master of Biomedical Science.In your first three years, you will complete the Biochemistry of Nutrition Extended Major where you will gain an appreciation of the clinical relevance of nutritional biochemistry and the influence of dietary modification and nutritional intervention on physiology and physiological dysfunction. During this time you will also complete a semester of postgraduate study.You will then complete a final year of postgraduate study in the Master of Biomedical Science, Food Biochemistry specialisation. You will pursue advanced studies with emphasis placed on cutting-edge research and its translation to healthy living and to clinical settings of diagnosis and treatment of disease. The Food Biochemistry specialisation involves an extended application of biochemical knowledge of the various nutrients, food constituents and their function to the study of health and nutrition. This specialisation focuses on the integration of knowledge and concepts of nutritional biochemistry and its application to the food and health industry.
