Structure
This course comprises one core unit and three option units. Core unit: Introduction to Finance. Option units: Risk Management and Financial Instruments, Quantitative Methods in Finance, Financial Statement Analysis and Business Valuation, Trading and Markets, Funds Management, Private Wealth Management and Venture Capital.

Standard entry requirements
- (1) To be considered for admission to this course an applicant must have—(a) a Bachelor's degree, or an equivalent qualification, including an Introductory Financial Accounting unit or equivalent, as recognised by UWA
- And either:(b) the equivalent of a UWA weighted average mark of at least 50 per cent
- Or(c) at least two years professional experience in a relevant occupation
- Or(2) significant work experience including at least 5 years with a material level of responsibility.
Study pathways
Students who complete this course with a weighted average mark of at least 65% can progress into the Master of Applied Finance or Master of Commerce, with full credit for completed units.
