The Master of Music (Performance Studies) is a skill based course focusing on traditional approaches to classical or jazz performance in addition to the study of works by leading composers of the twentieth century and recent times. Students can develop solo as well as ensemble performance skills. This program provides students with the opportunity to concentrate on music performance and enhance their technical mastery within an area of specialisation. Graduates develop broad knowledge of the repertoire and advanced skills required to advance within the profession. The program focusses on traditional approaches to classical and jazz performance, in addition to studies of twentieth century music. Teaching methodology includes one-to-one lessons with performance staff.
