Augustus Short Scholarship

The University of Adelaide pioneer Dr Augustus Short believed that tertiary education should be accessible to all students of high academic merit, regardless of birth or wealth. Thanks to the generous support of donors, the Augustus Short Scholarships are available to students of high academic merit who come from rural or remote areas, challenging financial circumstances or another disadvantage. Up to three scholarships will be awarded to students commencing undergraduate programs in 2021.

Eligibility

To be eligible for the Augustus Short Scholarships, applicants must: gain admission to an undergraduate Bachelor's level course of study as a Commonwealth Supported student at the University of Adelaide commencing in 2022; and enrol on a full time basis (unless there are special circumstances preventing this, such as disability); and be Australian citizens, Australian Permanent residents, New Zealand citizens, or holders of a permanent humanitarian visa; and be able to demonstrate financial need.

Amount $6,500

The value of the scholarship is $6,500 per year for up to 4 years.
