Our Master of Engineering (Mining) comprises a foundation year and an advanced studies year. You will: study geomechanics, geotechnical engineering and geostatistics; build skills in mine design, modelling and simulation; conduct risk and uncertainty analyses; explore mine management, planning and sustainable practices; pursue specialist topics according to your interests and career goals; undertake a significant research project.

Study Pathways

An exit path will be available for students completing only the foundation year, after they satisfy a set requirement in the relevant discipline. In this case a graduate diploma will be awarded. To remain in this program, students must maintain a high grade point average (GPA) throughout their candidature.
