Focusing on corporate and commercial law and practical legal problem solving, and offering specialised electives in subjects like HR and marketing, this course will provide the foundation for students' legal and business education. Students will also gain a broad and coherent theoretical and technical knowledge in a range of core business areas and the necessary skills to be effective in today's changing workplaces. Our expert teachers will encourage students to develop their advocacy abilities and legal skills, while understanding their connections to the theory and history of law. Supporting students' development as socially responsible and ethical legal and management professionals will be our small class sizes and state-of-the-art facilities, and ties with the National Centre for Corporate Law and National Institute of Governance. Students will also benefit from the relationships we've forged with law firms, the public sector (a huge employer in Canberra) and non-government organisations (NGOs).

Year 12 or Equivalent. English Language Requirements: An overall academic IELTS or equivalent of 6.5, with no band score below 6.0.

Majors in Law Foundation and Legal Practice. Students may also select from majors in Entrepreneurship and Innovation; Human Resource Management; International Business; Management; Marketing; or Service Management.


The Bachelor of Laws is recognised by the Supreme Court of the Australian Capital Territory and the State of New South Wales. Through mutual recognition, UC's degree may serve as the basis for admission in all Australian jurisdictions.
