This course offers students an exciting new option for those wanting to become a teacher in primary school settings. As well as providing a qualification in Primary Teaching, it offers the opportunity to become a Creative Arts specialist for Primary Schools. Throughout the course students engage in a series of education and curriculum study units with a stronger emphasis on Creative Arts subjects. This Creative Arts specialisation will be strengthened with some of the Professional Experience subjects focusing on the specialisation. Students completing this degree will be qualified to teach years K-6 as either a general primary teacher or a specialist Creative Arts primary teacher.

Further information:

There are non-standard English language requirements for this course. To be eligible students must have an academic IELTS or equivalent of 7.5 with no band score below 7 and a score of not less than 8 in both speaking and listening. On graduating students must register with the appropriate state teaching body in order to teach. Students must obtain a Working with Vulnerable People Check before their first placement.


This course is registered by the ACT Teacher Quality Institute (TQI) and recognised as a teaching qualification throughout Australia.
