This course is offered to school leavers and those with no previous tertiary qualifications who would like to become secondary teachers in Health and Physical Education. Graduates may also study from a range of second discipline areas including English, Mathematics, Science, Technologies and Humanities and Social Sciences.

On graduating students must register with the appropriate state teaching body in order to teach. Students must obtain a Working with Vulnerable People Check before going on placements. There are non-standard English language requirements for this course. To be eligible you must have an academic IELTS or equivalent of 7.5 with no band score below 7 and a score of not less than 8 in both speaking and listening.


This course is registered by the ACT Teacher Quality Institute (TQI) and recognised as a teaching qualification throughout Australia.
