This course provides specialised knowledge in the area of sports analytics and how it can be applied in high performance sport for the betterment of the team. This course will have a focus on making the graduate industry ready to fulfil a relevant role in analytics, with a particular focus on data management, analysis and interpretation. The course will be taught by academics that are active within the high performance environment in the area of sports analytics thus providing contemporary, evidence based knowledge and skills to its students.

Entry Requirements:

Have completed a Bachelor degree (or higher) in the fields of Exercise Science, Sports Studies, Human Movement, or a scientific or data science field; OR have completed a Bachelor degree (or higher) in an unrelated discipline AND have evidence of relevant experience; OR submit a proposal alongside a formal application, demonstrating evidence of substantial relevant industry experience over a sustained period.

Recognition:

Following completion of the Graduate Certificate in Sports Analytics, students will be eligible to apply for International Society of Performance Analysis in Sport (ISPAS) accreditation (Level 2). The ISPAS provides an infrastructure of professionalisation, information and training opportunities for accredited performance analysts.
