First in Family Student Accommodation Scholarship

Level of study: Undergraduate / VET

Closing date: 11 January 2026

Awarded to students who are the first in their family to attend university. This scholarship will provide financial support to students to enable them to successfully engage in their study at the University of Canberra, while being accommodated in a safe, secure, and accessible student residence.

Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible for the Scholarship, applicants must the following threshold criteria:; Be an Australian citizen, permanent resident or permanent humanitarian visa holder; Be an undergraduate student at the University of Canberra; Be the first member of their immediate family, including siblings, to attend university; Be able to demonstrate financial need; Be residing at one of the University of Canberra student residences.
