The scholarship is awarded to an Indigenous JD student studying at the University of Melbourne. The Alastair Nicholson Law Scholarship marks His Honour's distinguished career and his commitment to social justice, including advancing the interests of indigenous Australians.


Applicants must be Australian Indigenous students enrolled in the Bachelor of Laws or the Juris Doctor (JD) at the University of Melbourne. Selection is based on academic achievement and financial need.
