Commerce Opportunity Bursary

Available through the generosity of an alumnus donor, the Commerce Opportunity Bursaries are available to Victorian residents who apply for entry into the Bachelor of Commerce. The bursaries are available to assist high-achieving students who are in financial need or are otherwise disadvantaged. It encompasses a program to foster the academic and personal development of the recipients, through the ongoing support of the Commerce Opportunity Network.

Eligibility

Applicants must: be Australian citizens residing in Victoria; apply for the Bachelor of Commerce (as the first preference) through the Victorian Tertiary Admissions Centre (VTAC); meet the criteria to be eligible under the Access Melbourne scheme; have a strong academic ability; and be in financial need or otherwise disadvantaged. Selection is based on academic merit and documented disadvantage in one or more of the equity categories.

Applicants are required to apply to the Bachelor of Commerce through VTAC, submitting a Special Entry Access Scheme (SEAS) application.

Amount $15,000

The bursaries are valued at $15,000 per annum for up to 3 years.
