The funds for the scholarship have been bequeathed by Grace Moran Matthaei, to assist students who are undertaking research in the optical field.
Eligibility
The scholarship is open to University of Melbourne graduates who are engaged in research within the field of optics in the departments of genetics, botany, zoology, geology, microbiology or biochemistry, or another approved department. Selection is based on academic merit.
Amount
$31,000
The scholarship provides a living allowance of $31,000 per annum, a limited paid sick, maternity and parental leave and a relocation and thesis allowance.
