This program is designed for those who want to progress their career into agricultural management. It covers the latest technology and production techniques for the industry. Students will complete vocational units to develop practical skills in farm management, while deepening their understanding of the science and technology of modern agriculture through the UNE units. By completing this degree, students will be able to apply their technical knowledge and business management skills to improve the sustainability, productivity and profitability of farming systems. Students are required to enrol with a Registered Training Organisation in order to complete the required VET units for the course.

International: $88,200

Entry Requirements:

Year 12 or relevant equivalent; Certificate IV or higher qualification; relevant industry experience; Certificate III or higher in Agriculture. This course has multiple admission pathways, which are dependent upon a combination of qualifications and industry experience.

Structure:

144 credit points (equivalent to 24 standard units) including core UNE units, core VET units, and one major. Students admitted through an articulation program follow a modified program of study.

Study Pathways:

Students may be eligible for credit (advanced standing) for previously completed studies. An exit pathway is available for eligible students.

Further information:

Students must have access to a commercial farm to complete the case study components of their vocational units.

College accommodation

UNE’s residential accommodation currently consists of eight colleges and a village of self-contained units. Accommodation ranges from the more traditional college with meals included and shared bathroom facilities, to the more independent, self-contained flats at Wright Village and UNE’s new Wright College , which provides modern studio apartments complete with your own kitchen and bathroom facilities.
