This degree has been designed to develop skills in creative analysis, communication and business decision making. Students will be able to develop and lead ethical, social and environmental solutions to meet business challenges across a range of industries and occupations. The core units of this degree will give students a solid foundation in business; units use current business research and industry experts to understand regional and global business trends. Multiple specialisations or majors assist students to build their career profile, with specific majors qualifying students for admission to the major professional accounting and human resource bodies. There is also an option to study an exchange trimester at one of UNE's overseas partner universities, to build a student's global perspective. Students can also include a professional work experience unit in their program of study if they wish.
- 144 credit points (equivalent to 24 standard units) including either one or two Majors

- and a choice of elective units dependent on Majors. Students may include professional work experience as an elective unit. Students admitted through an articulation program follow a modified program of study.

Standard entry requirements
- Year 12 or equivalent
- Or admission through an articulation program. Assumed knowledge: any 2 units in English. Recommended: Mathematics.
Completion of the Accounting major plus four additional units will qualify you for admission to the major professional accounting bodies (CPA Australia, Chartered Accountants ANZ and the Institute of Public Accountants (IPA).
Students may be eligible for credit (advanced standing) for previously completed studies. Students who successfully complete this course may be eligible to continue to an honours year. An exit pathway is available for eligible students.
