Data science specialists are in high demand thanks to the amount of data now available in workplaces worldwide. Data provides the basis for sensible, evidence-based decision making. Data scientists are responsible for building intelligent systems, mastering intuitive processes and bringing structure to data.Demand translates to opportunities for appropriately skilled and qualified workers. Average salaries for data science professionals with postgraduate qualifications in Australia are over $130,000 a year. Seek.com.au forecasts jobs growth of 12.9 per cent in the sector over the next five years. Our course will suit you if you have a relevant undergraduate degree in an area such as computer science, data science, information technology or statistics and wish to extend your specialisation in data science. You will also have the option to continue to further postgraduate study. At UNE you will focus on learning how to build data science tools and software from the ground up.
