Study online — a university that partners with you

For over 60 years, UNE has been delivering flexible education to adults throughout Australia and the world. UNE has a well-earned reputation as one of Australia’s great teaching, training and research universities. Our focus is on your future, providing you with a personal and flexible approach to learning.

While UNE has a long history and strong tradition, our outlook is innovative and fresh. We’re at the forefront of online education, with over 20,000 students completing some or all of their studies online. UNE offers a diverse range of online courses, with the flexibility to begin studying in one of three teaching periods (trimesters).

Your education is more achievable than ever

At UNE we work with you to help you achieve your goals by providing a flexible and open learning environment that fits with your lifestyle. Choose to study either full time, part time, on campus or online — when you want and how you want. No matter where you are, you’ll have access to state-of-the-art teaching and facilities to help you with your study.

UNE provides a number of alternative entry pathways to university, including UNE’s Pathways Enabling Course . The Pathways Enabling Course is a free online course designed to help you gain the skills and knowledge for university study, and receive credit towards your degree.

Living and learning on campus

UNE remains one of the few universities to provide the complete on-campus experience, combining affordability, student support and community as well as the most extensive sporting facilities of any regional university in Australia. It's the way the university experience was meant to be.

Whether you want to immerse yourself in the college lifestyle throughout your degree, or for a short stay as part of your online study program, UNE has a range of stress-free and affordable accommodation solutions to suit your needs. As a resident, you will be conveniently located in the heart of UNE, close to classes, libraries, cafés and shops, SportUNE, and only minutes from the Armidale CBD. You will also have access to a diverse network and community, with plenty of academic and social support at your fingertips.

Many students studying on campus come via the UNE Early Entry program and can take advantage of a wide range of scholarship opportunities. Applications are submitted in September each year.

College accommodation

UNE’s residential accommodation currently consists of eight colleges and a village of self-contained units. Accommodation ranges from the more traditional college with meals included and shared bathroom facilities, to the more independent, self-contained flats at Wright Village and UNE’s new Wright College , which provides modern studio apartments complete with your own kitchen and bathroom facilities.

No matter where you are and what you want to study, UNE is here to help you achieve your dreams.
