Structure

The Master of Clean Energy consists of 16 courses (160 units), consisting of Core and Directed Electives.Students will complete a compulsory Clean Energy project and must complete 100 Units of Core Courses, and 60 Units from the Directed Course List.

Entry requirements

  • Entry into the Master of Clean Energy will be available to applicants who have: Been awarded the Graduate Certificate in Clean Energy from the University of Newcastle are eligible to undertake the 120-unit program which can be completed in 1.5 years fulltime or 3 years part time
  • or Been awarded the Graduate Diploma in Clean Energy from the University of Newcastle are eligible to undertake the 80-unit program which can be completed in 1 year fulltime or 2 years part time
  • or A three-year Bachelor Degree (AQF level 7) in a related field* are eligible to undertake a 160-unit program which can be completed in 2 years fulltime or 4 years part time
  • or A three-year Bachelor Degree (AQF level 7), or an equivalent or higher qualification, not in a related field (non-cognate) and at least 1 year of relevant full time organisational experience are eligible to undertake a 160-unit program which can be completed in 2 years fulltime or 4 years part time
  • or A four-year Bachelor (Honours) Degree, Graduate Certificate or Graduate Diploma (AQF Level 8) are eligible to undertake the 160-unit program which can be completed in 2 year fulltime or 4 years part time
  • or At least 7 years of relevant organisational experience. *Relevant fields include all disciplines of Engineering, and Environmental, Earth or Physical Sciences.
